The Tribe
Rangayan

Continuous theatre training found and shaped the artists who would form the ecosystem's backbone.
ABOUT INDIE PRODUCTIONS
OUR STORY

Indie Productions was not born out of a business plan; it was born out of a fundamental need.
Back in 2014, as an actor, founder Vishal Shah was looking for a way to make a sustainable living in the arts without endlessly waiting for the phone to ring. Instead of waiting for opportunities to prove his talent, he decided to build an entire ecosystem, one that would provide a platform and a livelihood for a tribe of like-minded actors, thespians and artists.
The beginning
Each phase answered the next practical need — training, sustainable work, then a physical base for making.

A black-box studio and creative base where the growing team could rehearse, experiment and build together.
The Evolution
By 2024, the training built through Rangayan, the market for theatre created through Indie, and the platform offered through Prayogshala had achieved our initial goals in the city. It was time for something bigger.
We pivoted our storytelling expertise into high-calibre visual content — TVCs, corporate documentaries, and our first feature film, Well Done C.A. Sahab!, in 2025.
Our approach
We listen first, shape the creative language around the audience, and build the production with clarity, care and intent.
